I have a couple of categories of computers:

• Budget – You need a new computer that’s quicker and runs better than you’re old one but just can’t justify the expense of buying one that has extra features you might use
• The ‘future-proof’ – this system is one that is powerful enough to make everyday activities run effortlessly and will handle those extra tasks when they’re thrown at it. In essence a computer that will run and still feel fast for a few years.
• Top-End – this computer just is quick, booting into windows and ready to use in under 45 seconds – done. A computer that will handle even the toughest, newest games at the highest graphics settings with ease – no problem. Need to copy that DVD of your holiday, but want to chop out the boring bit where you just filmed the kids playing for half an hour and you don’t want to wait half an hour for it to process… this one’s for you.
